The Yukon Quest and the Yukon Literacy Coalition worked together again this year to bring the Yukon Quest (Short) Story Contest back! Again, it was a success with an impressive 70 story contributors from students in two age categories (gr.1-3 and gr. 4-7).

This morning at 3:30am, rookie musher Claudia Wickert (bib #3) from Whitehorse, Yukon scratched from the race in Braeburn.

Wickert attempted to travel to Whitehorse this morning, but turned around to scratch in Braeburn citing issues with her leaders as the reason for her decision.
