Today at 1:00 pm PST veteran musher Kelley Griffin of Wasilla, Alaska scratched from the race. Her decision was for the well being of her dogs.

This morning at 8:40 am Race Officials accepted a scratch from bib #6, Lance Mackey. Mackey stated a small team and the well-being of the dogs as the reason.
