How many years have you been running dogs?

Probably the last race for some of my dogs and may the first for others.

How did you get started running dogs?

As a handler.

What do you love most about running sled dogs?

<p>To cover the ground with my teammates. Feeling the power of the team in the handlebar.</p>

Iditarod Official Finishers Club
Why did you enter the Yukon Quest? What are your goals for the race?
Thinking it will be 10% of the distance and hopefully 100% of the fun. Besides, it's my best shot at being back for the next diaper change.
How did your dogs get their names?/ How do you choose names?

Usually, we pick a theme: Bear, Rivers, Bull riders, Cowboys etc.

What music do you listen to on the trail?

While on vacation, my friends Dave and Derek brought my dog truck back from near-certain death after I had driven it like a rented mule for almost a decade. Now it runs great! This summer I’m naming a puppy Dave and hoping the same thing will happen to my dog team.

Tell us about your favourite experience with a volunteer on the trail
The guy who made chicken soup and blueberry pancakes at 3 am in Shaktoolik it was raining sideways.
