How many years have you been running dogs?
25 plus years/ from childhood
Tell us about your dogs, particularly some stories or facts about dogs running the 2022 race with you

 I have entered the race to see beautiful country, test my dogs and qualify for the Yukon Quest

How did you get started running dogs?

I have always run dogs. I grew up running dogs with my family.

What do you love most about running sled dogs?

I love to watch the enjoyment each dog has while they are running. It is also amazing to develop and train pups to become amazing athletes.

Are you a member of any other organizations involved in sled dog sports?

Why did you enter the Yukon Quest? What are your goals for the race?
I have entered the race to see beautiful country, test my dogs and qualify for the Yukon Quest.
How did your dogs get their names?/ How do you choose names?

My dogs are named after a theme. Each litter has a common theme, such as lakes, outlaws, boots.

What music do you listen to on the trail?

I don’t listen to any music on the trail, it is just another item I would have to remember.

Share a quick story about one of your indispensable Handlers

My truck broke down on the side of the highway and I left my handler on the road with the dogs for two days while I went and bought a new truck! Most expensive dog race ever!

Tell us about your favourite experience with a volunteer on the trail
Running the Yellowknife 150 and I stopped to have a beer with a group of volunteers. It was a beautiful sunny March day.
