Musher Question & Answer
The majority of dogs in my team are dogs I've raised since birth and they're my best friends! We've been through everything together, including falling through a frozen river in -36 in last year's Quest 300. We've learned a lot together and grown as a team and are excited to return to the Quest 550!
By accident! I happened to live in Talkeetna when Dallas moved up from Willow and was building his kennel here. My boyfriend, Elliot, and I joined on with an interest in dogs and helping with construction. Best accident ever! Now this place and these dogs are our life and we couldn't be happier!
In the years raising dogs I was constantly enamored with their progress learning how to run, camp, and lead the team. They continue to blow my mind regularly with what they are capable of! I'm most inspired by how proud I am of my babies and I love the serenity and adventure of mushing silently through the backcountry with them. The ultimate reward is sharing the excitement of a new trail with them and watching them excel at what they love to do most... run!
