Musher Q & A
I kept two brothers from my first litter in 2014 and they pulled me on roller blades in summers. Eventually built into the kennel I run now.
Everyone is different. Some names were planned, some made up after, but most were based on something I see or feel about the specific dog.
My dogs are in prime ages to get started in distance races and we hope to have a good showing as well as learn as much as possible in our first travelling tour of racing.
Nothing beats the sense of calming freedom of a good, clear, crisp run. It's the type of thing that makes all the "rodeos" and chaos of dog mushing worth it.
All but one of my dogs racing this year were born in my kennel and I've raised since day one. Mainly two groups of siblings.
It varies from country to rock; usually something with a strong beat for the dogs to run to, until electronics freeze!
My dad is my main handler this season. In short, we wouldn't be where we are without him! It wouldn't be possible to list the work load and help he provides. All things I can never say thank you for enough!
