The Yukon Quest 1,000 Mile International Sled Dog Race launched their new website Tuesday evening.
Visitors to www.yukonquest.com will find an updated, modern look, with mobile-friendly pages for those watching on-the-go from their smartphones or tablets. Popular features such as the SPOT Tracker, musher bios and updated news feed remain in place, but all content has now been streamlined for easier viewing.
“We are very excited to unveil our new website just in time for this year’s race,” says Marie Belanger, Executive Director of the Yukon Quest – Yukon. “The new site will be much easier for the fans to navigate, and having the ability to connect with mobile devices is huge. We anticipate more web traffic, which will also mean increased exposure for the Yukon Quest, and more value for our sponsors.”
The new website was designed by local creative agency Outcrop Yukon, and funded by the Yukon Government through the Community Development Fund.
Media interested in attending or covering the 2014 Yukon Quest are invited to register for accreditation by filling out the online form. Deadline for accreditation request is January 17, 2014.
