Musher Question & Answer

How many years have you been running dogs?

Tell us about your dogs?
Most of my team will have seen the Yukon Quest trail before and will be excited to go down Eagle Summit this year and not up it!!

How did you get started running dogs?
I had a passion and a dream of having a sled dog team since I was a boy.

What do you love most about running sled dogs?
I love watching the dogs do what they love to do, 'run'. Being able to be a part of a team with your dogs and travel in some of the most amazing natural settings is life changing and truly a blessing.

Are you a member of any other organizations involved in sled dog sports?
I am the Musher Representative on the Yukon Quest Board.

Why did you enter the Yukon Quest? What are your goals for the race?
I really enjoy the Yukon Quest for the camping aspect of the race and the ability to travel for miles without seeing anyone.

What music do you listen to on the trail?
Whatever my twins Jess and Mack put on my iPod!

How did your dogs get their names?/ How do you choose names?
All of our dogs get their names based on litter themes.
