The Yukon Quest is a volunteer effort from beginning to end. This epic 1,000 Mile International Sled Dog Race would never have been possible without the volunteer efforts of thousands of dedicated individuals all of whom have lent a hand ... and sometimes much more - over the past 37 years. Volunteers are a vital support to race operations, office administration and fundraising.  The Yukon Quest welcomes volunteers from all over Alaska, the Yukon and around the world. Join our incredible volunteer team and become part of the Yukon Quest!

We are very excited and looking forward to seeing you in Fairbanks, Alaska or Whitehorse, Yukon in 2022. Volunteer and Visitor Planning documents provide an overview of the Yukon Quest, as well as volunteer information for the next Race. In these documents, you will find maps, checkpoint descriptions, tips on clothing and weather, travel industry details, etc. If you still have questions or concerns after reading these documents, please contact either the Yukon Quest office.
