Musher Question & Answer

How many years have you been running dogs?

Tell us about your dogs?
Most of the dogs on my team will be from Trail Breaker Kennel. However a few of my own pack will be training up and hopefully be making the team as well.

How did you get started running dogs?
I got my start as a tour guide up at Chena Hot Springs Resort.

What do you love most about running sled dogs?
Getting to take them on all of these new adventures

Are you a member of any other organizations involved in sled dog sports?

Why did you enter the Yukon Quest? What are your goals for the race?
I entered the Yukon Quest 1000 mile race for the personal challenge, and for my dogs to get to experience another 1000 miles. My number 1 goal is to finish with happy, healthy dogs, wagging tails, and smiling faces

What music do you listen to on the trail?
Good Music! Everything from bluegrass to Techno, Jazz to Heavy Metal

How did your dogs get their names?/ How do you choose names?
We pick themes, such as the outlaw litter (Cassidy, Sundance, Geronimo, Bonnie,Clyde, HooDoo, and Billy), the shameless littler (Ian, Fiona, Carl, Kev, Lip, and Mickey), the Olympic athletes (Phelps, Felix, Bolt, Ledecky, Simone, Mo Farah)
