Yukon Quest Dog Sled Race

Jill Grogan

Jill joins us from Virginia and we couldn’t be happier that she has come on board! She will be helping us along the trail, primarily throughout the YQ100 and YQ250 races. Her knowledge of the Yukon Quest and friendly demeanor will be an incredible asset to our vet team.

In her own words:

I am so excited to be back on the trail this year with such an esteemed team! My love of the Quest started when I moved to Fairbanks in 2003. While I lived there, I volunteered during pre-race vet checks and the Junior Quest; before and after the race, I had the fun task of organizing the vet boxes! Last year, I was FINALLY able to join the vet team on the trail! I currently provide veterinary relief services on the east coast and work for USDA.

Outside of work, I am a 4-H leader and a BSA scout leader. I have a husky, a poodle, a cat, 9 chickens, 2 permanent resident horses and 1 foster horse. I am grateful for the opportunity to get to know and work with all of the volunteers, fans, mushers, and most importantly, the canine athletes in the race this year!

Happy Trails!
