Dr. Jennifer King has joined our Vet Team for her first Yukon Quest. We are excited to welcome her to the Yukon for our historic event!

In her own words:

Jennifer King here! I grew up all over as an army brat (US, Germany and the Netherlands). I went to St. George’s university vet school in Grenada, finished in 2006. I became a certified canine rehabilitation practitioner in 2011. I have worked emergency, rehabilitation and General practice since then. I live in Baltimore with a goofy mutt Socks and a black cat Lovely Cat, husband Daniel, and our boys Robert and Isaac.

I have also been working on becoming a Working Dog Practitioner through the Working Dog Center at UPenn. I am so excited about the opportunity to be a part of Yukon Quest, and it should be the last step in my working dog training. At my current job, I am the liaison to the local police department’s K-9 unit. Most of my sled dog training is through the working dog program and the occasional Northern breed that I come across at work.
