How did your kennel get its name?

Started calling the dogs wildthingz a long time ago. Inspired by their tough, resilient nature and attitude.

How did you get started running dogs?

Chasing dreams

What do you love most about dog sledding?

The bond and connection with the dogs. Getting out into the big wild country.

Please share any interesting stories or facts about your dogs that will be running in the 2024 race:

Are you a member of any other organizations in sled dog sports?

Why did you enter the 2024 Yukon Quest and what are your goals for the race?

As a 1,000 mile finisher, I’ve always loved the trail in the Yukon and look forward to seeing it again. I’ll have a group of mostly young dogs that we want to get some serious long haul experience.

Do you listen to music on the trail? If so, what types?

Mostly doing podcasts these days. Can’t go wrong with some AC/DC or Black Sabbath though.

How did your dogs get their names?

Themes. Jazz, ganja, fire, to move.

Share a quick story about one of your indispensable handlers:

My wife Emily. We wouldn’t get anywhere without her.
